We’re looking for an experienced bid manager to work with Deeson and Greenshoot Labs - two growing businesses within AIM-listed technology services group The Panoply.

Deeson is a digital agency that designs and builds high profile, high stakes transformational web platforms. Deeson’s multi-disciplinary agile teams have delivered web technology platforms including public-facing websites, intranets, data platforms, business systems and system integrations for some of the biggest brands in the UK.Clients include ITV, Hiscox, BDO, Royal Collection Trust, Imperial War Museum, Food Standards Agency and National Crime Agency

Greenshoot Labs builds enterprise conversational AI solutions by combining some of the latest industry technologies from Google, Amazon and other leaders in the field of applied artificial intelligence. We use these technologies alongside our own open source conversation management platform OpenDialog to drive solutions on platforms such as Facebook Messenger, Slack, web chat and Amazon Alexa.

We’re looking for a brilliantly talented Bid Manager to help Deeson and Greenshoot Labs shape and deliver new proposals and tenders for projects. You’ll support our sales process, working closely alongside the leadership teams in both businesses.

You’ll take part in conversations with prospective senior clients, helping us to turn complex problems and briefs into tangible proposals that we can deliver. You’ll have an excellent oversight of the opportunities across our sectors for digital transformation, artificial intelligence and conversational interfaces.

As a Bid Manager working with Deeson and Greenshoot Labs, you’ll...

  • Work alongside Deeson and Greenshoot Labs senior managers, attending meetings and workshops as necessary to support with proposal and bid writing
  • Oversee the end to end tender processes - drawing on the skills and resources across the Deeson and Greenshoot Labs teams to deliver them on time
  • Write creative and coherent content for bids, proposals and tender opportunities alongside colleagues from delivery teams in Deeson and Greenshoot Labs.
  • Handle inbound enquiries, gaining insight into client briefs and requirements to inform qualification decisions in our sales pipeline.
  • Track opportunities across the Digital Marketplace and other relevant tender portals, ensuring we’re aware of relevant and exciting opportunities for our teams to work on
  • Work with the Deeson and Greenshoot Labs teams to understand our strengths, knowledge, and experience - drawing on this to inform our sales work
  • Use your knowledge and insights of our work and the team, to help pitch new ideas or opportunities to Deeson and Greenshoot Labs teams.
  • Keep up to date with trends across our target sectors, understanding where you feel Deeson and Greenshoot Labs should prioritise engagement and business development resource.

This role could be based in our offices in London (Shoreditch), Canterbury or UK home-based for the right candidate.

Job requirements

This isn’t a traditional sales manager role. We are looking for somebody who really understands our clients biggest priorities and challenges, and who is passionate about delivering sustainable technology solutions for our clients.

You’ll be a natural collaborator who has the energy and drive to motivate the teams to make sure we have the right tools and assets to help us win important work. You bring detail, focus, and rigour to our sales process - making sure we’re on track and don’t miss out on brilliant opportunities. You won’t be afraid to challenge the current ways we do things and influence some of our processes for the better.

Relevant experience of managing bids and proposals in a technology services environment is important.
